Lighting: Most succulents prefer bright, indirect sunlight. Place them near a south or west-facing window for optimal light exposure.

Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is a common issue with succulents, so it's better to underwater than overwater. Water deeply but infrequently.

Soil: Use a well-draining soil mix specifically formulated for succulents and cacti. Adding perlite or coarse sand can improve drainage.

Temperature: Succulents thrive in temperatures between 60-80°F (15-27°C). Protect them from extreme cold or heat.

Potting: Plant succulents in pots with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging. Terra cotta pots are excellent for their porous nature, allowing excess moisture to evaporate.

Fertilizing: Feed succulents sparingly with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half-strength during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing during winter.

Pest control: Keep an eye out for common pests like mealybugs, aphids, and spider mites. If infested, treat with insecticidal soap or neem oil.

Propagation: Succulents are easy to propagate through leaf or stem cuttings. Allow the cuttings to callous over before planting them in well-draining soil.

Pruning: Trim off any dead or damaged leaves or stems to promote healthy growth and prevent disease.
